Liberalism In in Life Competition

Tell us how the CCS program has impacted you!

Has it made you a more tolerant listener?
Has it given you a fresh perspective to look at the world around you?
Has it helped you look at your place in society differently?
Has it impacted on your choice of career or course?
Do you now look at things you neglected earlier?
Do you have different conversations with friends and teachers?
Did you try to change things around you in your own small or big way?
Do you think that things can be changed?
What kind of follow-up have you done or do you want to do with CCS in future?

Liberalism in Life Competition tries to see ways in which you have applied ideas from CCS programs in your life. We are looking for personal anecdotes- your story, your perspective and the medium of your choice.

It could be anything from a conversation you have with a friend, an essay you wrote for your course, review of a book or movie, a few shots of how people earn their livelihood on the streets of your city, a cartoon strip, a poem, a scrapbook entry… Choose your medium! Choose your message!

Here is how some of our graduates have applied liberalism in their life:

“I am working on a PIL on behalf of the 6 seater owners/drivers in Pune who have been restricted by a new rule passed by the PMC from driving their vehicles on several roads in the city… It was claimed to be done to prevent the increase in pollution levels. My team is working on the legal as well as the actual environmental pollution recording levels and we intend to file the PIL to declare this rule null.”

Asawari, LSS Cochin

“I am still questioning. I will be eternally thankful to CCS for showing me the other side of the picture. I aspire to be a journalist, it is very important for me not to be swayed by one ideology or stream of thought. I have tried to research more about all the topics we discussed during those four days. I have read umpteen books, and held discussions running into hours with my classmates and friends… LACS has not only changed me but even my friends who had not even heard of it!!”
