Raghavendra has around three years of working experience in Research and Advocacy of public policy reforms. Before joining CCS, he was a Research Associate at Foundation for Democratic Reforms (FDR), where he led multiple teams in the formulation and drafting of key advocacy papers in governance, education, healthcare and Judicial reforms. He played the lead role in drafting and advocating FDR’s ‘The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Andhra Pradesh Amendment) Bill, 2015’ and ‘The Right to Public Services (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) Bill, 2015’. He also played lead role in drafting around five submissions to Parliamentary Standing Committees on bills related to governance reforms.
After his graduation in engineering, Raghavendra has done his Masters in Public Policy and Governance. He also completed a course in ‘Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights – A Liberal Approach’ from International Academy of Leadership, Germany. His areas of interest include political philosophy, economic theory and global politics.
