For the academic year 2022-23, 300 schools including both budget private schools and semi-government schools registered with our program. We started working with learning centres for out-of-school children in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. The team also completed teacher training for ~4000 teachers who received spoken English application skills.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Education Policy Intern to support developing policy briefs. The theme is school education with a focus on states like Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal.

This role is ideal for someone with some experience working on education in India and writing policy briefs.

Key Responsibilities

Research school ecosystems and regulatory environments
Draft state-wise policy briefs
Engage with researchers, and relevant education experts related to school education
Support the team in creating targeted outputs as per the policy outreach requirements
Track public grievances on RTE related concerns

Expected Outputs

Well-researched, high quality written policy briefs

Eligibility and Skills

Currently enrolled in or a recent postgraduate of social sciences, education or public policy
Strong skills in secondary research with attention to detail
Experience in writing reports, preferably policy briefs
Good understanding of the education policy landscape in India
Excellent written & communication skills
Comfortable understand and interpreting data related to education
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
