9th School Choice National Conference 2017 - Block your date

The School Choice National Conference (SCNC), an initiative by Centre for Civil Society, brings together education planners, policy experts, activists, edupreneurs, and government officials to discuss and debate the various dimensions of education policy discourse. The 9th Edition of this conference will examine the policy proposal of Direct Benefit Transfers in the Education sector, and is being organized on 12 November 2017, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Centre for Civil Society, along with FNF South Asia, launched the Delhi Citizens' Handbook 2017 on 29 August at NCUI, New Delhi. Alongwith the much- awaited book launch, the event also included an esteemed panel leading a discussion on "Good Governance and Development: Strategic Performance and Reforms".

PUBLIC POLICY COURSE BEING ORGANISED IN CHENNAI: APPLY NOW TO ATTEND OUR FLAGSHIP 'IPOLICY FOR YOUNG LEADERS'

iPolicy Young Graduates

'ìpolicy for young leaders' is our signature certificate course on public policy, aimed at introducing the participants to the policy landscape in India; and to explore the issues, perspectives and models of institutions, within the economic framework of our nation.

Accepted candidates will be inducted into a 2- day intensive program which will include engaging workshops and academic activities. This will provide students with the required tools and knowledge to assess government policies through different perspectives. The candidates will be provided with a certificate at the end of the program and will also be granted access to our vast Alumni/Academic network.

Chennai Program Date: 28-29 October 2017
Venue: IIT Madras, Chennai

Application Deadline: 30 September 2017
All selected candidates will be informed before 3 October 2017.

Policy Dialogue

Policy Dialogues are sessions that aim to discuss sound policy practices with students on campus. Having organized Policy Dialogues in colleges like St. Stephen's, IIM Kozhikode, MIT, YIF, Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, JNU, JMC and Gargi to name a few, CCS is looking forward to introducing Policy Dialogues in more colleges across the country.

The dialogue is hosted by esteemed speakers such as Gurcharan Das, Swaminathan S Aiyar, Luis Miranda and other renowned public intellectuals.

EduDoc2017

EduDoc is an International Short Film Competition organized annually, to celebrate the field of education! EduDoc is back with its 2017 edition, having an over- arching theme of "Education: Challenges, Innovations and Celebrations". It provides center stage to those working towards facilitating quality education to students, despite the scarcity of resources.

To applaud this priceless effort, EduDoc is opening its gates to one and all! All entries have to be sent on or before 15 September 2017, and should be within the stipulated time period of 05:00 minutes (including credits), accompanied with English subtitles (in case the spoken language is not English).

The second in a 3- part series, the author takes on a Schumpeterian tone and, quoting Littlefinger, talks of a chaotic market that is either a pit for the risk averse or a ladder for the entrepreneur.
