Less than 30 days to go for the Jeevika: Asia Livelihood Documentary Festival! We’ve finalised a record 30 entries that we’ll be screening for you over the four days. The festival is a great way to get highlight livelihood issues and policies that shackle livelihood freedom of the poor, while providing documentary filmmakers exposure in the society and the film industry.

RTE Portal Launch, 14 August 2013 |
On the eve of Independence Day, CCS and the Central Square Foundation, in partnership with FICCI, are launching the RTE Portal – India’s largest online resource for all information related to the RTE. The launch of the portal will be followed by a panel discussion. Parth Shah of CCS, Ashish Dhawan of CSF, along with Yamini Aiyar of Accountability Initiative and Annie Koshi, Principal of St Mary’s School will serve on the panel which will be moderated by Shoma Chaudhury, Managing Editor of Tehelka.

NISA School Leaders Summit, 26 September 2013 |
We have opened registrations for our National Independent Schools Alliance School Leaders Summit 2013. The summit reflects a gathering of some of the best intellectual minds in the education space in India – all of whom will come together to deliberate best practices in improving the quality of education and student performance in India. Some of the key sessions at the summit will be on the Barriers to the Choice of Education, Running of Great Low-Fee Public Schools, School Leadership Training and School Financing Models.

IIT Gandhinagar, Orientation Program - Social Change Through Public Policy, 17-19 August 2013 |
CCS has been invited by IIT Gandhinagar as part of the orientation program at the university, to introduce a group of 150 students to our ideas, focusing on Social Change through Public Policy. Over one and a half days, the students will get the chance to go out into the field and Research Reality, hear Parth Shah speak on Social Change through Public Policy, and develop their critical reasoning skills through an introduction to Socratic Seminars.
