Chintan

Swaminathan S. Anklesaria Aiyar will be at CCS this Friday to talk about the importance of economic freedom, how far India has come in this direction in the last ten years and what steps are still required to improve. Swami is currently Consulting Editor of The Economic Times and a research scholar at The Cato Institute and ex-editor of two of India’s biggest economic dailies, Financial Express in 1988-90 and The Economic Times in 1992-94. A frequent consultant to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, he is best known for his popular weekly column in The Times of India, “Swaminomics”.

Sounds of FreedomiJustice, our public interest legal advocacy initiative is partnering with Teamwork Arts to hold a Sounds of Freedom Concert on 23 March 2014, a celebration of freedom of expression through music. The concert will be held at the NSIC Grounds in Okhla, New Delhi from 1pm onwards. Visit the iJustice stall at the concert for a snapshot of our work in the area of freedom of speech!
