CCS Dashboard#ccstalks TweetChat: ‘Is the RTE undermining its own objective?’, 30 April 2014, 7-8pm

#CCSTALKSDespite enrolment figures rising significantly since the RTE was passed in 2009, we see the Act leading to #schoolclosure of over 5,000 private schools that are currently serving the poorest sections of society. Is the RTE, which aims to achieve universal education, serving its purpose?

Join the TweetChat on ‘Is the RTE undermining its own objective?’ from 7-8pm on Wednesday, 30 April 2014. Parth J Shah (@parthjshah) will be hosting this week’s discussion!

Log in to www.tweetchat.com and follow #ccstalks, or simply follow #ccstalks from the Twitter homepage. We look forward to talking with you!

CCS DashboardColloquium on Education: Philosophy, Policy, and Practice, 25-27 July 2014

ColloquiumCCS Colloquium is a two-day residential program and forum for in-depth discussion centred on a chosen theme. This Colloquium is focused on the role of the state in education. What is the role of education in society? What kind of educational system is appropriate for a free society? Should governments have a role in socialising and indoctrinating their citizens? Does compulsory education violate the rights of children or of their parents? These are just some of the questions we are looking to explore with you.

APPLY NOW! For details on eligibility criteria and registration fee, check out our website or contact Sadaf Hussain (programs@ccs.in | +91 99531 33868).
