Update: We have shifted the venue of our colloquium to Jaipur.

Applications for our Colloquium on ‘Education: Philosophy, Policy and Practice’ close on 21 July 2014. Don’t miss out on this chance to meet stakeholders from academia, corporates, NGOs and the government working in the education space and explore the role of the state in education. APPLY NOW!

Some of the key questions we will be addressing:

  • What are the rights of children? Who has a right and obligation to choose for the child? Parents, the state, or the child himself?
  • What is role of education in society? And what kind of educational system is appropriate for a free society?
  • What institutions are most likely to lead to dynamic improvement and learning in the classroom and in society?

Tom is Vice President for International Programs at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, and General Director of the Atlas Global Initiative for Free Trade, Peace, and Prosperity will be at CCS on Tuesday, 22 July. He is the author of Realizing Freedom: Libertarian Theory, History, and Practice, and has edited a number of publications, including After the Welfare State and The Morality of Capitalism.
