The Jeevika: Asia Livelihood Documentary Festival provides a unique platform to filmmakers to showcase their work, and a public forum to disseminate information about livelihood trials and tribulations. Over the years, the festival has won support from celebrities like Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Subhash Ghai, Deepti Naval, Nandita Das, Rahul Bose and Shabana Azmi.

We invite all documentary film makers from around the world to send in their entries to one of the most unique film festivals—the 11th Annual Jeevika: Asia Livelihood Documentary Festival. Awards will be awarded for the following categories:

• Best FEATURE Documentary (professional category, above 30 min): INR 50,000
• Best SHORT Documentary (professional category, below 30 min): INR 40,000
• Best STUDENT Documentary: INR 20,000
• Jeevika Freedom Award: This is a new category in this year’s festival where we are inviting applications for outstanding documentaries by professionals and students that highlight livelihood challenges or successes of people working in the education sector (school owners, principles, and teacher): INR 20,000
