iJustice has drafted Model Rules under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014, for dissemination amongst Government Authorities. These rules have been drafted with the aim to ensure effective implementation of the Street Vendors Act 2014, keeping in mind the goal of ensuring livelihood freedom to vendors and hawkers and adherence to the rule of law and the principles of natural justice. These rules have been drafted in deliberation with various stakeholders, including public interest lawyers, street vendor organisations, students and other public spirited persons.
