Removing Barriers to Livelihood

CCS’ livelihood initiative is geared at achieving greater livelihood freedom for the rural and urban poor, as well as promoting choice and accountability in the area of skill development for our underprivileged youth. It aims to further public policy measures to clear the path for free enterprise by eradicating market entry and exit barriers to promote individual livelihood for street entrepreneurs (i.e. street hawkers, cycle rickshaw pullers, small shop owners etc.).

In order to further livelihood freedom, it is focused on facilitating effective implementation of the Street Vendors Act and advocating deregulation of micro-enterprises in focus states.
