For the academic year 2022-23, 300 schools including both budget private schools and semi-government schools registered with our program. We started working with learning centres for out-of-school children in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. The team also completed teacher training for ~4000 teachers who received spoken English application skills.

A Unique Scholarship Program for women in STEM

About

Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) Betiyan Scholarship, a unique scholarship program was launched in 2021 22 in collaboration with Centre for Civil Society to encourage female students to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Supply Chain Management fields. The Scholarship provides financial and mentoring support to promote women’s access to and participation in technical and supply chain roles within manufacturing and production industries.

Since its inception, the scholarship has been awarded at select institutions offering STEM & Supply Chain Management courses across Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa.

2022-2023

In the academic year 2022-23, the P&G Shiksha Betiyan Scholarship program marked a significant milestone by awarding 363 scholarships to deserving female students pursuing engineering courses. This initiative spanned 29 prestigious institutes in 5 states, underlining our commitment to fostering gender diversity in STEM and supply chain management fields and strengthening women's participation in technical and manufacturing-linked careers.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates include female students enrolled in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Supply Chain Management courses at ITIs, Polytechnic institutes, Engineering and Management institutes, who are nominated by their respective institutions. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and consistent attendance in their current course. Selection is based on academic merit and program-defined socio-economic eligibility norm. The scholarship is implemented through partner institutes located in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Goa.
