About the Organisation: Centre for Civil Society (CCS) is a leading non-partisan, independent public policy think tank. CCS champions individual choice and institutional accountability by shaping India's public policy through evidence-based research, outreach programs, and policy training. Objective:  Jeevika Mobile App is a tech-enabled solution designed to empower street vendors by bridging the gap between informal street entrepreneurship and formal legal protections.  CCS now aims to scale the app into a comprehensive digital platform by integrating new features—transforming it into a one-stop solution for informal entrepreneurs across the country.

Scope of Work: The selected agency will co-build and upgrade the Jeevika app with advanced features to increase its usability, scalability, and impact. The scope of work includes:

• Integrating an AI-powered legal chatbot trained on central and state street vendor policies.
• Enabling multilingual and voice support.
• Embedding a welfare scheme finder and legal form generator.
• Adding modules for complaint tracking, lawyer-vendor interface, and community WhatsApp integration.
• Designing a city-switching feature for localized support.
• Improving UI/UX and enabling in-app documentation and rating systems.
• Building back-end infrastructure for case assignment, lawyer dashboards, and feedback analytics.
   

The project duration is expected to be 4-6 months.

Eligibility:

• The organization should have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in app development.
• Experience with civic-tech, legal-tech, or social sector apps is ideal.
• Capability to manage full-cycle development including UI/UX, testing, analytics, and post-launch support.

Compensation: Remuneration will be determined based on preliminary discussions and review of the proposal.
