For rule of law to operate, laws must be precise, principles-based, well-written, well-coded and should stand the test of time. The Indian approach has often run counter to the fundamentals of good law-making – we have over 3,000 central statues, several obsolete, redundant and repetitive! In collaboration with Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy and Macro/Finance Group at NIPFP, we have put together a list of 100 Laws worthy of wholesale repeal.
Check out the report and join us for #ccstalks Tweetchat, on Wednesday 15 October at 7pm! CCS, NIPFP and Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy will be hosting that chat to answer any questions you may have about the report, why these laws were chosen, the research process, and the way forward! Log in to tweetchat.com or Twitter and follow #ccstalks. We look forward to speaking with you!
