With an emphasis on first principles, this course will encourage students to think critically about social, economic, and political issues and ask fundamental questions on what makes a ‘free & just society’. It will further highlight the importance of sound public policy and the role of robust institutions in driving the country’s growth.
The module will focus on the principles, theory, and tools of law, economics & public policy, and will be supplemented by case studies to contextualise students’ learning. The course will be based on three key areas of study –law & economics, public choice theory, and public policy. The course will be composed of lectures and classroom discussions based on readings and case studies
