About Jeevika

Jeevika is a flagship initiative by CCS aimed at empowering India’s street vendors by strengthening their legal, social, and economic rights. With a focus on policy advocacy, legal support, and digital tools like the Jeevika Mobile App, our mission is to create more inclusive, rights-based urban spaces where street vendors thrive. Through the app, vendors gain access to financial inclusion, grievance redressal, legal entitlements, and the power of technology to drive change.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership and Enterprise Development

  • Design and implement a business and investor plan to position Jeevika as a leading digital platform for urban livelihoods.

  • Spearhead vendor onboarding campaigns, driving digital inclusion and user engagement with the app.
  • Create and optimize tech-driven operations that ensure high onboarding success rates, user retention, and seamless service delivery.

3. Product and Technology Oversight

  • Be the product champion – work directly with developers to shape and roll out innovative features that keep the app user-friendly and tech-ready for rapid scaling.
  • Ensure that the app continues to meet the evolving needs of street vendors, adding features such as multilingual support, financial tools, and grievance mechanisms.
  • Utilize user feedback, analytics, and tech advancements to continuously improve the product.

4. Team Leadership and Innovation Culture

  • Lead a passionate team of researchers, field coordinators, and product developers, empowering them to innovate and drive the project forward.
  • Create a culture of entrepreneurial thinking within your team, encouraging new ideas, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Align your team’s efforts with vendor associations, local authorities, and ministries to build strong, sustainable partnerships.

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Ecosystem Building

  • Build strong relationships with municipal bodies, NGOs, digital inclusion networks, and legal aid organizations to expand the app’s footprint and effectiveness.
  • Represent CCS in strategic discussions with policymakers, investors, and partners to advocate for the digital rights of street vendors.

6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Growth Metrics

  • Set clear performance metrics and track KPIs to ensure the app is meeting its growth targets and delivering measurable results.
  • Lead the creation of data-driven dashboards and progress reports to ensure the app’s success is measurable and aligned with social impact goals.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data to guide growth strategies and user engagement.
