Centre for Civil Society (CCS) is an independent, non-profit, non- political research and educational think tank based in New Delhi. We are currently seeking an Associate Director, Outreach.

Major Functions:

  1. Define and drive outreach activities, implement, and monitor to achieve impact. 
  2. Lead stakeholder engagement through events, partnerships, and representation across key forums.
  3. Lead, mentor, and manage the outreach and communications teams.
  4. Ensure CCS perspectives are clearly articulated and position it as a leading voice. 
  5. Secure CCS representation at key forums and respond swiftly to opportunities. 
  6. Build and sustain strong partnerships and coalitions.
  7. Lead and support the team to ensure engagement, growth, and performance.
Reporting to
Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Master’s with over 10 years of experience in outreach, communication, sales/marketing campaigns, program management or research
  2. Demonstrated success in achieving impact at scale, having used multi-pronged approaches to achieve concrete measurable results
  3. Experience in leadership roles in a corporate, government or non-profit environment, with increasing levels of responsibility for 6-8 years.

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  1. Ability to navigate ambiguity, make decisions in a fast-changing, uncertain environment, and adapt quickly to change.
  2. Strong resilience, motivation skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and challenges.
  3. Deep understanding of the policy formulation and implementation ecosystem.
  4. Expertise in multi-channel (digital, audio-visual, print) and crafting compelling, audience-specific communication.
  5. Strong stakeholder management, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  6. Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and resource management.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills across internal and external audiences.
  8. Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to lead the team in diverse environments.

Compensation: Competitive for the non-profit sector; commensurate with experience and expertise.

Location: New Delhi, with frequent travel.
