About Centre for Civil Society (CCS)
Centre for Civil Society (CCS) is an independent public policy think tank based in New Delhi, focusing on education, livelihood, and policy training to promote choice and accountability across private and public sectors. CCS engages with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects, and advocacy to translate policy into practice.
Position Overview
The Centre for Civil Society is accepting interns for its Governance initiative from January. Our governance initiative focuses on the effective facilitation of the rule of law, which remains central to the promotion and protection of individual freedom. We aim to ensure that laws reflect the people's will, protect individual rights, improve incentives, and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Our work checks against burdensome, obsolete, inconsistent laws that thwart choice and growth. In light of these goals, the intern will be responsible to support the operations, partnerships, research and digital communications arising from and/or for the program.
Key Responsibilities
Project Specific
- Drafting policy briefs, research articles, blogs, concept notes and case summaries as and when required
- Create visual representations of data through charts and graphs for presentations
- Engaging in various data management activities, including collation, organisation and analysis of relevant information
- Handling of any additional tasks assigned by the CCS team within the scope of various projects

Qualifications
- University students/recent graduates in Law are welcome to apply
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Google Workspace
- Ability to generate communication collaterals including but not limited to policy reports, research articles and blogs
- Keen interest in applying theoretical knowledge into complex on-ground realities
- An availability to engage for approximately 36 working hours/week in office
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. Interns will gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on education programs and practice.
