Role Summary
The Junior Associate / Associate – Policy Outreach will be part of the Policy, Impact & Outreach Department at the Centre for Civil Society (CCS). The position plays a central role in ensuring the timely, effective, and strategic dissemination of CCS’s research, ideas, and policy recommendations to policymakers, opinion leaders, and partner institutions.
Working directly with the Senior Fellow – Policy Research & Outreach, the Associate will support high-level engagement efforts that strengthen CCS’s positioning as a thought leader in K–12 Education Governance, Street Vending & Urban Livelihoods, and Rule of Law & Governance Reforms.

Key Responsibilities
A. Policy Outreach & Engagement
- Maintain and update a live database of policymakers, researchers, and influencers relevant to CCS’s work.
- Support the Senior Fellow in planning and executing strategic outreach campaigns around CCS’s publications and research products.
- Draft outreach material such as briefing notes, cover letters, and stakeholder communication.
- Track outreach outcomes and ensure timely follow-ups.
B. Visibility & Thought Leadership
- Identify relevant conferences, panels, and public forums for CCS’s participation.
- Coordinate speaking opportunities and prepare background notes and talking points for the Senior Fellow and CEO.
- Assist in drafting and coordinating op-eds, interviews, and media contributions to enhance CCS’s visibility.
C. Events & Stakeholder Dialogues
- Assist in organizing policy roundtables, consultations, and multi-stakeholder dialogues.
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, and reporting for all outreach events.
- Liaise between CCS’s leadership, partners, and media teams for event communication.
D. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and stakeholder interactions.
- Prepare summaries and reports for internal learning and periodic reviews.
- Contribute to quarterly outreach trackers and institutional documentation.
Expected Outcomes (within 12 months)
- A structured and updated database of policy stakeholders and influencers.
- At least 10–12 high-quality policy engagements supported through meetings, consultations, or media features.
- Enhanced representation of CCS leadership and ideas at national and regional policy platforms.
- Strengthened systems for tracking and reporting policy outreach outcomes.
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Law, Journalism, or related disciplines.
- 1–4 years of experience in policy communication, research outreach, or public affairs.
- Familiarity with India’s policy and governance landscape.
