Centre for Civil Society (CCS) was started with a passion on 15 August 1997 to advance social change through public policy. Our work in education, livelihood, governance and policy training promotes choice and accountability across private and public sectors. To translate policy into practice, we engage with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects and outreach. For the last couple of years, CCS has built a strong portfolio of research and outreach in education, governance and livelihood.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated young fundraiser to play a pivotal role in the growth of Centre for Civil Society, India’s leading think tank. Fundraising jobs are very versatile and raising money can be both satisfying and fun. One day you could be in charge of hosting a massive fundraising event meeting and interacting with sector leaders, the next you could be giving a presentation you’ve written requesting for a grant. You’ll need to put your heart and soul into each fundraising activity and will be working with passionate team members across all departments to make it a complete success.

Being a fundraising associate is more about being honest, confident, outgoing and detail oriented than having a lot of qualifications. Moreover, you must be able to communicate effectively and eloquently and be up to date on social, political, and newsworthy topics in order to engage in meaningful conversation with potential donors. There aren’t any essential qualifications that you need but as with most jobs these days, work experience can do wonders. If you are interested in this role you will be responsible for executing a diverse range of sustainable funding streams to support and expand the work of the Centre.

We are looking for candidates comfortable with multi-tasking and juggling various tasks, and are disciplined enough to follow up on each task until completion. Candidates who can display a strong interest in matters relating to public policy will be preferred.

Compensation:

CCS recognizes that the right candidate will have a significant impact on the success of the organization and is prepared to offer an attractive compensation package for the non-profit sector, commensurate with experience.

Location:

The position will be based in CCS headquarters in Delhi. Frequent travel around India with the potential for international travel to partners and conferences will be expected.
