About the Role

The Senior Associate- Language Learning Lab (LLL) will play a critical role in driving one of CCS’s flagship education initiatives into its next phase of growth and institutional maturity.
This role is designed for a professional who combines exceptional numerical and analytical ability with strong programme ownership. You will lead the creation of robust monitoring and evaluation systems, develop projections and models, strengthen programme design, and contribute to expansion and sustainability planning. This is not a routine programme role; it is an opportunity to shape a scalable, outcomes driven education model that improves English language learning for thousands of students across India.
About Language Learning Lab
The Language Learning Lab (LLL) is a technology enabled, school integrated programme under the Bolo English initiative at the Centre for Civil Society. It aims to improve spoken English proficiency among students in Budget Private Schools through app based learning, structured teacher engagement, and continuous assessment. The programme aligns with CEFR benchmarks and currently operates across multiple states, reaching thousands of students from Grades 1 to 8.
LLL combines pedagogy, technology, and school partnerships to deliver measurable learning outcomes and is now poised for strategic expansion and long term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme Strategy, Design, and Scale
- Lead the refinement of programme architecture including delivery models, assessment design, operational workflows, and engagement strategies.
- Contribute to medium and long term programme roadmaps, expansion plans, and institutional partnerships.
- Support development of a sustainable business or cost recovery model for programme growth.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Systems (Non Negotiable)
- Design and operationalise end to end M&E frameworks covering inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact.
- Build and manage MIS systems, dashboards, and data protocols for student engagement, learning outcomes, and school performance.
- Lead pre and post assessments, cohort analysis, trend analysis, and data quality checks.
- Translate data insights into actionable programme improvements and strategic recommendations.
3. Numbers, Projections, and Modelling
- Develop quantitative projections for student coverage, school onboarding, costs, and resource requirements.
- Build financial and operational models to inform budgeting, sustainability, and scale decisions.
- Track budgets, burn rates, and cost efficiencies in coordination with internal teams.
- Support donor reporting, proposals, and reviews with strong quantitative analysis.
4. Project Management and Execution
- Own programme timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple schools and geographies.
- Coordinate implementation with schools, technology partners, and internal CCS teams.
- Identify operational risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and proactively resolve them.
5. Networking, Partnerships, and Communication
- Build and manage relationships with school leaders, education networks, donors, and partners.
- Represent the Language Learning Lab in meetings, reviews, and external forums.
- Prepare high quality reports, presentations, and documentation grounded in data and evidence.
Key Targets and Deliverables
A. First 3 to 6 Months
- Establish a comprehensive M&E framework and live programme dashboard.
- Develop programme projections covering scale, costs, and learning outcomes.
- Strengthen programme design documentation and operational playbooks.
- Support onboarding and stabilisation of new schools with measurable engagement benchmarks.
B. One Year Targets
- Demonstrate consistent improvement in student learning outcomes across partner schools.
- Operationalise a scalable expansion plan with clear cost and sustainability assumptions.
- Institutionalise data driven decision making across programme operations.
- Contribute to positioning LLL as a replicable, high impact education model.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Education, Economics, Public Policy, Management, or related fields.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in programme management, education initiatives, ed tech, consulting, or impact driven organisations.
- Exceptional comfort with numbers, projections, financial and operational modelling, and data analysis.
- Strong experience in monitoring and evaluation is mandatory.
- Proven project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and execution ability.
