About the Program
Have you ever wondered what makes a policy work?
Have you thought about the reason for India still being poor?
Have you questioned what the role of the government should be?
Last year at CCS Academy, we curated a platform for CCS alumni, young students and professionals to engage in themes and discussions around public policy; now popularly called Baithak: Conversations in Policy. Baithaks follow an open group discussion format where the speaker is also the moderator of the debate, the principal guide and the facilitator of free flow of information among all the participants.
Certificate Course in Public Policy
A two-day policy workshop for students at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. The course aims to outline the policy landscape of India along with a mapping of key stakeholders in the policy-making process, provide students with an introduction to Public Choice Theory and New Public Management, schools of institutional economics and then apply these principles to concrete examples to consolidate their learning.
Ever wondered why India remains poor, with the top 1% bagging more than 70% of the country's wealth? Why our political system not only falls short of the textbook ideal, but prioritizes communal politics, corruption, and cronyism?
Centre for Civil Society (CCS) has been ranked amongst the top 60 think tanks in the world (and amongst the top 3 from India) by the University of Pennsylvania's highly acclaimed annual Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) report, for the past 5 years.
