On occasion of the Centre for Civil Society’s 27th Foundation Day, we were joined by Mr Gurcharan Das and Mr Sanjeev Sanyal for a Baithak where they discussed the state of the Indian economy and the importance of process reforms for economic growth.
Last year at CCS Academy, we curated a platform for CCS alumni, young students and professionals to engage in themes and discussions around public policy; now popularly called Baithak: Conversations in Policy. Baithaks follow an open group discussion format where the speaker is also the moderator of the debate, the principal guide and the facilitator of free flow of information among all the participants.
Following the success of previous Baithaks with Gurcharan Das and Nikhil Pahwa in August and September respectively, CCS and FNF have invited Laveesh Bhandari to participate and moderate the forthcoming Baithak: Conversations in Policy. Laveesh is an economist, an author, a columnist and an entrepreneur. He has undertaken various projects in industrial and economic reforms in India in addition to government advisory roles on policy and measurement issues in the environment. He is currently the Director of Indicus Foundation and also founded Indicus Analytics.
