Indian Liberals have often been lost in mainstream communication for precisely voicing their “liberal” ideas. So while there are written documents lost in time, this is a humble effort to revive the ideas and voices of some of the unknown Indian Liberals of their time.

Indian Legacy of Freedom has been divided into three chapters: Economic, Political, and Personal Freedom. The book focuses on twelve individuals, different in upbringing and scholarship but united in their belief and understanding of Liberalism in India.

The portal hosts Indian Liberals from as early as the 19th century. It aims to create awareness among its readers on the early concepts of Liberalism in the Indian context-otherwise considered as western philosophy.
