Public Policy Think Tank Centre for Civil Society (CCS), in collaboration with P&G Shiksha and Rising Tide Foundation, proudly hosted the Bolo English Excellence Award 2024 at the prestigious India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. This esteemed ceremony recognized and celebrated the remarkable achievements of 51 low-cost Budget Private Schools that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing English-speaking skills among underprivileged students.
Under the Bolo English Project, CCS has reached a significant milestone by training 9,189 teachers from over 400 budget private schools across 20 states in India. This initiative has positively impacted the lives of more than 350,000 students enrolled in these schools, providing them with valuable opportunities for academic and personal growth.
Renowned best-selling author Gurcharan Das graced the occasion and lauded the Bolo English Project for its innovative approach to education. He emphasised the pivotal role of technology in conjunction with dedicated teachers in facilitating learning experiences that are both effective and accessible. Das underscored the importance of English proficiency in unlocking limitless career opportunities for students from budget private schools, highlighting the potential for their success with enhanced English skills.
