Betiyan Scholarship Project Report 2025-26

The Betiyan Scholarship Program, supported by Procter & Gamble (P&G) and implemented in partnership with the Centre for Civil Society, was launched in 2021–22 to address the persistent gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Supply Chain Management education.

The program adopts a comprehensive approach by combining financial assistance with structured mentorship to support young women in accessing, continuing and excelling in these fields.

In the academic year 2025–26, the program awarded 504 scholarships across 29 institutes spanning 6 states namely Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Jharkhand. This represents a 16.94% increase from the previous year (431 scholarships in 2024–25), reflecting both the program’s expanding reach and growing impact.

Beyond financial support, the program delivers sustained mentorship through bootcamps, webinars and tele-coaching by Betiyan Saarthi’s (Betiyan Scholarship Alumni). These interventions are designed to strengthen academic performance, build professional readiness and enhance long-term career outcomes for scholars.

By enabling access, improving retention, and fostering success, the Betiyan Scholarship Program is contributing to the development of a robust pipeline of women professionals in STEM and supply chain domains, thereby supporting broader goals of gender equity and workforce diversification.
