Animesh Kumar is a Senior Legal Researcher at CCS. Prior to joining CCS, he argued various matters related to civil and criminal disputes at various judicial forums. He completed his doctoral research in 2025 on Women’s political participation in the PRIs in the State of Bihar. He graduated with a B.A.LL.B.(H) in 2014. He obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Constitutional and Administrative Laws from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. S. K. Bhatnagar (Former Vice-Chancellor of RMLNLU Lucknow). His area of interest includes constitutional law, with current research focusing on women’s participation in local governance. He regularly writes papers and articles for journals. He has published 40+ papers in various national & international journals. Animesh has presented papers in 30+ international & national seminars, conferences, and workshops. Recently, he was awarded Best Paper Presentation at ICRE 2.0 at Nirma University, Gujarat (India), held on March 15-16, 2024. He has co-chaired technical sessions in many national & international seminars/conferences. He recently authored the Nagaland State Regulatory Profile, mapping the laws governing the K-12 education system in the State. He is associated with various international & national journals as an editor. He is the Editor-in-Chief of a peer-reviewed journal, Lex Revolution, ISSN 2394-997X (Print), ISSN 3107-282X (Online), and is also associated with various journals in the capacity of editor and advisory editorial board member.
